New Trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man
For the first time we see some actual glimpses of the film’s villain, the Lizard, and get a better idea of the story of the film. The trailer is really moody for a Spider-man flick, almost akin to that of Nolan’s ‘real world’ Batman movies, though we do see some wise crack humour played by Andrew Garfield as he is dressed up as the super hero in hopes to lighten up the overall dark mood of the trailer.
So what do you think? Think Andrew Garfield is a turning out to be a good Spider-man so far? Like the look of the Lizard? Let us know!
New Teaser Poster for Dark Knight Rises, The Legend Ends
Christopher Nolan knows how to tease, and this new teaser image is no exception. With a buffed up Bane walking casually away from a broken and battered Batman mask, and a tag line ‘The legend ends’, it doesn’t take much to set the imagination wild with regards to just how conclusive this final movie in Nolan’s Batman trilogy will be.
Has Batman FINALLY met his physical and mental match? Nolan is leading us to believe so! And all I can say is that I can’t wait to see bones break next year July, when Dark Knight Rises finally lands on our screens.
The Latest ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Teaser Image
Sony recently released the latest teaser poster for The Amazing Spider-Man movie, which is due in 2012.
A really carefully posed photo of a shadowed Andrew Garfield clinging to a wall, which cleverly casts a powerful forsahdowing of the iconic character he is set to come.
Really like the simplicity and dark, mature tone of it.
Bring on 2012!

What you guys think? Like the new look? The scaliness of it? The bulkiness of it? Think this movie is gonna rock? Or sink?

The Umbrella Academy Getting a Movie Treatment?
Seems that way! News is going around that Rawson Thurber (writer/director of 2004’s Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) has been brought aboard the planned adaptation of Dark Horse Comics’ The Umbrella Academy, reports Deadline.
The Umbrella Academy, for those who aren’t familiar, is comic book series created by Gerard Way (who is also well known for being the lead singer of the alt-rock band, My Chemical Romance) about a story of a misfit family who were brought together as orphans who were born with unexplainable and super-natural powers.
The series has seen two full compilation releases, and is an enjoyable read for those who like your standard recipe of a team of super heroes. It’s fun and colourful with an intelligent plot, with a slightly dark edge.
So it’s needless to say that I’m rather interested in this film adaption. To be honest, I think it would maybe work better as a mini-series, as I don’t know if it has enough popularity to pull in a full cinema-going audience, but I will take what I can get in this case!
Regardless if the film adaption will ever see the light of day, I’m always excited to see more and more comic book series getting considered for the HollyWood treatment, and I will be sure to keep you updated as more news gets released!
Ashley Wood Presents the Popbot Movie SDCC 2011 Promo
Ashley Wood, founder of 3A, is currently deep in producing a full blown independent movie, with the help of TP Louise, based on his popular Popbot line of figures and characters.
Above is a teaser of the film, and while its pretty bizarre and doesn’t give away much, it’s exactly whats expected from an Ashley Wood promo! All I can say is that it’s looking pretty interesting. And can’t wait to see further footage and teasers from it!

The Avengers - Character Teaser Art

With Comic Con approaching its final day, Marvel fans have been treated to a whole host of awesome goodness related to their 2012 movies.
What we have here is a collection of The Avengers character art posters for the movie. Featuring Captain America played by Chris Evans (above), Hawk Eye (Jeremy Renner), Iron Man (Robert Downey JR), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) - all which can be seen below, respectively.
Things we can notice in the teaser posters is Cap’s new suit for the film, the Avenger’s transportation carriers (The Helicarrier and possibly the Quinjet?), and it seems as if Iron Man is donning a new armour this time again, compared to the triangle reactor Mark VI suit we saw him equipped at the end of Iron Man 2. Whether this is a new suit altogether (Mark VII?), or an older Mark IV suit, or maybe just a slight error in the teaser art, is yet to be known.
It’s also worth noting that we are still missing character art for both Thor and Hulk. Though if we look at the Hawk Eye poster, there is definitely signs of lightning behind him, as well as, what seems, a cropped out cape? Possibly Thors? If so, and I hope I’m right, it means that possibly these posters make one bigger ensembler poster featuring all the characters. Though beside that small connection, I can’t see how the other posters would make up the bigger picture… Guess we will just have to wait and see when the last two characters get released!
The Avengers is hitting our big screens May 4, 2012.
You guys excited?

The Amazing Spider-Man teaser trailer giving Mirrors Edge fans a sense of Deja-Vu?
Don’t be surprised if it does! A clever little YouTube’r managed to splice some gameplay action from the popular 2009 EA video game, Mirrors Edge, and sync it with the rather impressive Spider-cam POV footage from the recent The Amazing Spider-Man teaser trailer. And what you get is an almost exact source of inspiration for the teaser CGI footage.
Don’t get me wrong, I aint hating! But more or less impressed with how a rather indie video game managed to inspire the new Spider-Man reboot POV scenes. And am rather excited to see it all play out on the big silver screen, in possible 3D nonetheless!
The Amazing Spider-Man film is releasing July 3, 2012, in 3D and 2D theaters.
What you guys think? Unoriginal film-making, or natural inspiration?
